A detailed examination of Indus artifacts, real or not, found outside the subcontinent, including in Afghanistan, Turkmenistan, Iran, the Persian Gulf, Mesopotamia, Syria, Egypt, and Crete. The author writes: "Although there has been no dearth of publications on the external trade of the Indus civilization in recent years, they lack in most cases a clear and detailed data-base with its implications on chronology, routes and other related issues. The present work tries to fulfill this need."
