" . . . renewed excavations at the Harappa site of Rojdi in Rajkot District of Saurashtra was begun in 1982-83 by a joint archaeological team from the Gujarat State Department of Archaeology and The University Museum of the University of Pennsylvania. Four seasons of fieldwork were completed at the site (Possehl et al. 1984 and 1985) and have yielded a number of significant insights into Harappan history and culture. This book is a report on those findings, which will be presented in some detail as our narrative unfolds."
