Dennys Frenez

Dr. Dennys Frenez (Ph.D in Archaeology at the University of Bologna, Italy) is currently investigating and modelling trade and cultural interactions between urban level societies in South and Middle Asia during the Bronze Age, with specific focus on the Indus Valley Civilization. Dr. Frenez’s research involves a broad range of different approaches including the study of ancient writing and administrative systems, traditional technologies and crafts, socio-economic and political organization, and paleo-geographical reconstruction. Dr. Frenez has been working in a variety of museums and archaeological sites in India, the Sultanate of Oman, Tajikistan and Turkmenistan since 2001. He established a wide network of academic collaborations including the University of Wisconsin and Harvard University.
