Shereen Ratnagar

Dr. Shereen Ratnagar was Professor of Archaeology at Jawaharlal Nehru University in New Delhi, India and is now an independent scholar noted for her work on investigating the apparent decline of Indus Civilization. Ratnagar was educated at Deccan College, Pune, and at the Institute of Archaeology, University College London.

Her books include Understanding Harappa (Tulika, 2006) and End of the Great Harappan Tradition (Manohar, 2002) and Mobile and Marginalized Peoples: Perspectives from the Past (Manohar, 2003), Encounters: The Westerly Trade of the Harappa Civilization (Oxford USA, 1982), and most recently The Magic in the Image (Manohar, 2018).
