K.N. Dikshit Archive [in process]

A private collection of images of one of the original excavators of Mohenjo-daro. Rao Bahadur Kashinath Narayan Dikshit (1889 – 1944), Director General of the Archaeological Survey of India (ASI) from 1937 to 1944, was also one of the first excavators of Mohenjo-daro in 1924. These images are taken from the archaeologists personal collection and are kindly made available for the first time by K.N. Dikshit's family.
